The Artist

Having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2017, Hunter Valley artist - Sally Moffat, started her artistic journey as a form of therapy for her fine motor skills.

Sally suffered through a massive ‘MS Flare’ that took out her vision, mobility, balance, speech and cognition all at the same time.

Having lost the ability to embrace her son, Sally turned her attention towards achieving this as her main goal.

She figured that if she focused on strengthening her fine motor skills first, then once she was able to wrap her arms around him again… the rest would fall into place.

And so, she did just that!

Hours turned into days, days turned into weeks and weeks turned into years until she was not only able to hold her son again but she had become one of Australia’s most talented glass artists.

Sally’s journey is far from over and she feels blessed to now be able to share her passion of Dotalism and Glass Artistry with the world.
