The Artist

Sally Moffat

Brisbane-based artist Sally Moffat began her artistic journey in 2017, following a life altering diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. What started as a form of therapy to rebuild her fine motor skills soon evolved into a profound creative calling.

During a severe MS Flare that impacted her vision, mobility, balance, speech, and cognition all at once, Sally faced one of her greatest personal challenges: the inability to embrace her young son. From that moment, she set herself a goal-to hold him in her arms again.

With quiet determination, she turned to art as a path to healing. Each deliberate brush stroke helped strengthen her body, mind, and spirit. Days became weeks, weeks became years- and with every dot painted, her strength returned.

Not only did she acheive her goal, but in the process, Sally emerged as one of Australians most distinctive glassware artists. Her signature dot work - a refined expression of “Dotalism” - now adorns boutique glassware collections cherished for their elegance, originality, and heart.

Today, Sally shares her passion for glass artistry with collectors and gift givers worldwide. Her work is a celebration of resilience, beauty, and the power of creativity to transform lives.
