The Creative Style

Dot Art - also known as Pointillism - is a contemporary art form where intricate patterns are created using closely spaced dots or fine marks. This technique brings depth, texture, and a striking visual dimension to otherwise flat surfaces.

Sally’s work is refined fusion of traditional Dot Art and her own distinctive pattern work, thoughtfully combined to create elegant, eye-catching designs on premium glassware.

The Process

Each of Sally’s designs is inspired by the natural beauty of her surroundings - from the delicate tones of native flora to the tranquil textures of the Australia landscape.

Every glass and colour palette is carefully chosen to compliment the intended design, with thoughtful attention to harmony and balance.

The creative process is slow and deliberate. Each artwork unfolds over several days, as multiple layers of specialist French paint are applied to achieve a rich, dimensional texture. With a 24-hour curing period required between each layer, most pieces take around five days to complete.

Once the design is fully cured, it undergoes a meticulous inspection to ensure consistency and quality across every detail.

To complete the process, the glassware is heat-set - a delicate step required to harden the paint and make the design dishwasher resistant. The pieces are then slowly cooled to room temperature to prevent cracking or shattering.

After a final wash and polish, each glass emerges as a beautifully finished piece of functional art - a refined addition to any curated collection - a piece of collectible art designed to elevate everyday moments and for those who value craftsmanship, beauty, and the joy of building a truly exclusive glassware collection.
