Hand-painted & Dishwasher Resistant Glassware by Australian Artist Sally Moffat

Origins of Two Hoots Giftware

Art Therapy

Two Hoots Giftware was created in 2017 after I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

No-one in our family had a history of MS.

After several months of rehabilitation and having started on treatment, I needed something to keep my mind active, even if my body was not.

Something to give me a sense of self again.

So in between, rehabilitation, physiotherapy and learning to manage my fatigue, I started to paint.

It helped my concentration and co-ordination whilst incidentally working on my fine motor skills. -- I loved it!

Glass Artistry has given me a way of being able to express myself and my creativity whilst helping to reconnect socially.

Where did the name Two Hoots Giftware come from?

Two Hoots Giftware was named after a pair of Tawny Frogmouths, that come to nest annually in the ironbark tree on my property.

I take delight watching them raise their young and listening to their distinctive sounds.

Despite all the adversities that life and the enviroment throw their way, they continue to return every year without fail
